St. John Paul II Preparatory School is the last Catholic K-8 school in Northeast Minneapolis. Catholic schools have a long history of serving immigrant families who settled in Northeast. St. John Paul II Prep continues this mission, serving scholars who are children of Ecuadoran and Mexican immigrants, among others.

St. John Paul II Catholic Preparatory School strives to provide a transformational education to all scholars. Our commitment to quality shows in our school’s outcomes:
✓ Strong Academics – Our students outperform their peers at nearby public schools on state standardized tests.
✓ Continued Achievement – Our alumni attend rigorous Catholic high schools including De La Salle, Totino Grace and Cristo Rey, and public options such as Saint Anthony High School.
✓ Education of the Whole Child – Our scholars are immersed in a broad curriculum, including religion, art, music, and athletics.
✓ Deepened Faith – We teach the Christian faith in the Roman Catholic tradition and encourage discipline based on respect and responsibility. This goes hand in hand with developing a sense of service and social justice within our multi-cultural community.

NO CHILD is ever turned away from our school because of a family’s inability to pay tuition. Nearly all receive financial aid. Tuition is set at $2,250, well below our cost of educating each scholar. It is only through the generosity of our supporters that we are able to provide this transformational education.
